How does this service work?
Where’s My Suitcase works together with your participating airline in tracking your delayed baggage through the delivery process. You will be able to see the process of your baggage delivery from start to finish.
How do I know if you have my baggage?
When your baggage is delayed, you will receive a file reference number from your airline. If Where’s My Suitcase has your baggage you will have information about the service along with your airline information.
What is my Reference Number?
Your Reference Number could either be your BDO (Baggage Delivery Order Number), Claim Ticket Number or Bag Tag Number.

- The BDO is normally formatted as: AAABB22222
- AAA-is typically the 3 character airport code where you filed your claim. Example-Los Angeles-LAX.
- BB-is your 2 character airline code. Example-Delta-DL.
- 22222-is a random number of digits, usually 4 to 6 numbers.
Where can I find my Reference Number?
Your Reference Number can be found on the paperwork your airline gave you when you filed your delayed baggage report.
What happens if I do not have a Reference #?
Where’s My Suitcase needs your Reference Number to locate your baggage in the system. Please double check the paperwork given to you by the airline. If you still cannot locate your Reference Number, please contact your airline baggage agent to provide you with the number.
Who should I contact if all of the bags were not delivered?
Contact your airline in reference to the missing bag. Refer to your file reference number when reaching out to the airline.
When will my baggage be delivered?
Your baggage will be delivered as soon as possible. Once your baggage is received from the airline, we will work as fast as possible to deliver your baggage. You can track the status of your baggage at any time on this website.
How can I hold my baggage delivery to a later time?
Once you have entered your Last Name and Reference Number into the system, simply select the “Hold My Delivery” button and specify a date and time you would like your baggage released for delivery. Your baggage will be given to the next available driver for delivery after your designated release time. Please note, this information will reside with Where’s My Suitcase without notifying the airline.
What if I do not want to be disturbed when my baggage is delivered?
Once you have entered your Reference Number and Last Name into the system, simply select the “Waive Signature” button and waive signature on delivery. Your baggage will be delivered without needing your signature. Please note, this information will reside with Where’s My Suitcase without notifying the airline.
Can I change my delivery location?
Yes, you can change where you would like your baggage delivered any time before your baggage is out for delivery. Simply select the “Update” button under your delivery information and change the address information. Please note, this information will reside with Where’s My Suitcase without notifying the airline.
Do I really need to enter my email address?
Although you are not required to enter your email address, it is highly recommended. WheresMySuitcase.com communicates the status of your baggage delivery via email.
What if my baggage is delivered and is damaged or missing items?
Damage to delayed bags and missing items should be reported within 24 hours of receipt. Contact your airline asap.
